i know this stuff doesn’t do any real good until the baby comes out (i have had a few friends’ docs guess wrong), but i keep thinking about whether #2 is a boy or a girl. back in hong kong, a lady told me that by swinging my wedding ring (tied to one of my hairs) over my hand or belly will determine the sex. (circular motion=girl; side-to-side=boy). apparently you can do this to see the sex of all your children. for me when i did it, it said i would have 2 boys and then a girl on the third one.
one time when i was in the hk library, i came across this ancient chinese chart, that is supposed to be 99% accurate in telling the sex of your baby. it says i am having a boy. it was true for kai, but not sure about now. i have both boy and girl symptoms, according to all the old wives tales.
so i am taking a poll. guesses, anyone? and for those who have children – does the chart ring true for you?

Well, the chart was right for our little girl Bryoney, so I’ll guess that you will have another boy. Can’t wait to find out!

my friend tied floss to a needle that was pushed into the eraser of a pencil and hung the lead part down over my wrist. my circles and lines were much bigger than hers (maybe because i’m preg) but it said girl, boy, girl, boy and we did it 4 times w/the exact same results. i tried the ring w/friends over my belly earlier and nothing really happened. the chinese charts online for me are all different. i don’t get how they have more than one chart. we’ll see this week!

Well Julia, your floss and eraser trick was totally wrong. Maybe it works in reverse? Congrats!

i’m not sure. mom did it 4 times on herself and got our family – boy, girl, boy. maybe mine is reverse or maybe my chi or something is totally off!! or maybe i admire you so much that i have to copy everything you do. hm. one of those perhaps.

The Chinese chart was right about Dennis, but before that my instinct was that it was a boy.
